When No One is Watching
When No One is Watching is a thriller with expert character development that demonstrates Cole’s ability to craft a story, it’s just as much about people as it is about place. The themes Cole explores throughout—racism, white greed, sickness, addiction, encroaching gentrification—are ones that are acutely aligned with the current social climate. With it being such a dynamic and interesting read I wanted to reimagine the cover as if it was illustrated and include some additional interior pages. The colors and style used are meant to add to a feeling of uneasiness and distress that match the tone of the novel.
