AANHPI Histroy Month Campaign
For Asian America Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month, I initiated and designed a social campaign to highlight community-led organizations and activists doing environmental justice work in America and abroad. I used color hierarchy and patterns to create a sense of place for each feature. The pattern used in each composition has a cultural tie to the activist or the community in which the organization work alongside. My favorite example is seen in the Kahea feature where the pattern is a vectorized and stylized version of a Kapa, a decorated bark cloth used daily in native Hawaiian life.
